This painting was one in which everything felt right. Brenna Bald Eagle is a Lakota Sioux, Native American, from South Dakota. She and her family are deeply involved in the traditions and customs of their native culture. One way of promoting their culture is dressing and living in the style of their ancestors, even for just a few weeks a year. Brenna is seen here with her traditional Sioux doll and in traditional dress. The fringe in her flowing deerskin dress adds just enough action to keep your interest. Naturally shy, her comfort around strangers is found in her "prized possession", her doll. She also is someone`s "prized possession".
